Reasons to Create a Niche Jewelry Website

by Matthew A Perosi

The advances in mobile technologies and features of Google Maps Mobile have paved the way, and an iron clad reason, for retail jewelry stores to have mobile ready websites. Mobile ready websites are absolutely necessary to bring customers right to your front door.

But as an additional source of income you can sell products easily out your back door if you can find the right niche jewelry industry to target.

When it comes to shopping online people prefer to buy from stores that specialize. Our research indicates that when someone finds a knowledgeable vendor in their area of interest, they tend to come back again and again.

Obviously as a jewelry store you carry thousands of items from different jewelry categories in your store. But why not set up a website focusing on one particular category of jewelr...

Music on Your Website

by George Blair IV

According to social network site Last.fm, the most popular musicians to listen to right now while online are Muse, Radiohead, the Beatles, Coldplay, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, and Green Day. Nearly all of those musicians have enjoyed years and years of success, whether from hitting #1 on charts, maintaining a cult following, or snatching residuals from their use in television and movies.

However, they all have this constant: they're all being played while the listeners are on the computer. Last.fm's sole purpose to record the statistics of what songs are being played from one's music software, whether it's Streisand or Jethro Tull. So that means, the music is being recorded because people listen to their songs while they surf.

This is an expanded lesson on setting up your Google Places account.

Google has made it so easy for people to find you from their cell phone. Any cell phone that can download the Google Maps App. has the power to lead customers right to your doorstep. How-To Create Articles for Low Budget Advertising

by Matthew A Perosi

This is an expanded lesson relating to article publishing.

So many people say they can't write. I just don't want to hear that because it's a total lie.

Every time a customer comes into your store you have to use some kind of salesmanship to convince them that you are the better jewelry store in town. Sometimes you have to tell a story; sometimes it's just a long descriptive process of the jewelry. This sales process is your key to writing.

Get yourself a digital voice recorder and secretly record yourself talking to a customer. Transcribe your conversation and you can use that in advertising online. The transcriptions will become a set of articles for you. Talking into a voice recorded feels cumbersome at first, but it gets easier the more you do it. After a while you might even find yourself d...

Best Way to Layout Jewelry Retail Website?

by Matthew A Perosi

This is a common question asked of my design team over at JewelerWebsites.com. So here's the basic idea.

Top of the page (Header):
• Include a logo and or photo of your store. Make the logo/photo clickable back to your home page.
• In the top right corner of the page you need to include links to the most common things your visitors will look for. Normally this is your Contact Us, Directions to Our Store, Store hours. Other things that might be popular are Store Events, Contest Registration, Register to Win, Daily On-line Specials. Also note that you can and should change this set of links to match your advertising.
• With e-commerce sites you should also have a link to login to the customer account.
• You could have a main navigation menu in your header, but only if those menu ...
