This is the Friday website review where I randomly choose a retail jeweler and scrutinize their website for problems. I look for design mistakes, SEO mistakes, functionality mistakes, content mistakes, and even marketing mistakes.
This week I searched for "jewelers Renton, WA" to find a review candidate. Here are the results I saw in Google:
Bloggers have an unyielding passion to write and share their expertise with the world. Unlike a freelance writer for hire that is paid to create an editorial, most passionate bloggers write because they care greatly about the topic, and many do it for free. Those of us who write for free are often disappointed by posts that don't get the attention we wish they did; after all our blog posts are our children and we want our children to grow up and be successful and not unacknowledged misfits.
In this edition of the Daily Golden Nugget, I'll show you how to use a scrollmap to help analyze a product page. A scrollmap is a created by monitoring the up and down scrolling of your website visitors to reveal which part of the page are viewed most often. The brightest areas show what users have seen the most, while the darker areas show what has been viewed the least.
Although you can read today's Nugget as a single post about scrollmap usage, this is a continuation of a longer series designed to help you with your 2014 hol... VIEW FULL GOLD NUGGET
One of the common errors in the English language is the confusion between the words Champagne and Champaign.

The capital city of Champagne is Epernay, which I visited a few years ago. I've include... VIEW FULL GOLD NUGGET
Welcome to the Friday retail jewelry store website review. For this week's review, I'm searching for "jewelers Tempe, Arizona" using Google Chrome in incognito mode.
If this is the first time you're reading my reviews, then let me explain that I review a different random retail store website every Friday. These are sites have no relation to me or the website agency services my company provides. These are just straight forward, cursory reviews of what a website looks like, how it functions, some SEO analys... VIEW FULL GOLD NUGGET
After spending 6 months or so trying to perfect your new e-commerce website, the last thing you probably want to hear is that your development, design, and overall perfection process is just beginning.
In yesterday's Daily Golden Nugget I explained a few ways to track how people use your website. I'd like to expand upon that conversation a little and explain a little more about the costs involved with that user testing.
No matter which method of testing you use, there's always going to be some type of analysis involved. With the session recording services... VIEW FULL GOLD NUGGET
I use a lot of different methods to gather data about websites and then several tools to analyze that data. Naturally the most popular tool I use is Google Analytics, but there are a few others that really provide amazing business intelligence.
Google Analytics tracking is free to install on your website, but figuring out how to read and use the data it collects isn't as simple as it once was. A few years ago I would have said that any business owner could figure out how to... VIEW FULL GOLD NUGGET
