Adams Fine Jewelry Website Review daily-golden-nugget-1235-64
This is the Friday jewelry website review where I find a random retail jeweler and review their website for design, usability, and SEO. In each one of these reviews, my goal is to show how the information from my other Daily Golden Nuggets can be directly applied to a website.

This week, I'm using the Google Chrome browser in incognito mode to search for "jewelers st joseph mo." Here's a snapshot of the results:

Optimizing Images for Google Image Search in 2014 - Important Image SEO Steps daily-golden-nugget-1081-61
When Google Image Search was redesigned in January 2013, it introduced a modern way of looking at images across the web. Images were presented larger, with the ability to view just the image or jump to the website where the image was found.

In yesterday's Daily Golden Nugget, I began a discussion about the differences between Technical SEO, On-Site SEO, and Off-Site SEO, and I detailed several very important, but sometimes boring aspects of what I refer to as the technical side of SEO.

Technical SEO is certainly something that computer scientists and programmers do best. Even though the technical SEO procedures are important, I don't often not...

Begin Your SEO Process Here

by
Begin Your SEO Process Here 3499-daily-golden-nugget-651Talk to any SEO professional and you're likely to hear the phrase "duplicate content" over and over again as one of the things you should avoid on a website. SEO of a Flawless Diamond

by
We're taking a break from research and number crunching and getting back to some basics of SEO today.

Search engine optimization for your jewelry store's website is not hard; it's just time consuming. When you follow a few simple guidelines you will immediately boost your site ahead of other locally, and maybe even nationally.

Set Google's Image Search On Fire

by
Our last two Nuggets explained the importance of naming your images more effectively for greater SEO value. But what if you don't have the time, or the ability to name your images?

HTML image tag with alt and title parameters:
<img src="IMG_0001.jpg" alt="Zeevoog Diamond in a Diamond pendant" title="Zeevoog Diamond in a Diamond pendant" />

The alt/title parameters serve many very useful functions online, here are a few:

1. When you hover your mouse over the image, you will see the alt/title text in a popup bubble.
2. Screen readin...

Alt & Title And Be Rewarded.

by
Design is one of the foremost concerns for your website. Trying to figure out the aesthetics that best please your customer is very difficult. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you personally like, because the customer will like something completely different.

You need to program your website so it best functions for your users.

Typical design concerns are:

* Do you want the website to work on a mobile device?
* Do you want to use a lot of images as part of the design?
* Do you want Flash? Remember Flash does not work in IE 64-bit, the standard browser for Windows 7.
* Do you want your website readable by users with visual impair...
